Apocalypse

I really wanted to call this Apocalypse Map Quest but I think I might not be allowed to...

THE SAFE ROOM HAS FALLEN

AIRLIFTED OUT

Hello, welcome to the playtest!

This was my parental leave vibecode project. There's a lot of loose wires, so please forgive the UX mess.

Things I'm excited about

  • Making a game where the gameboard is a real map tile, anywhere in the world (courtesy of OpenStreetMap).
  • The post-apocalyptic theme — pre-apocalyptic on a real map is effectively just a... food delivery game?

Things I'd love feedback on

  • Is the supply-run scavenging minigame fun? Does the turn-based combat work as a last resort?
  • Does the supply-run game + base-building defense game work together as a feedback loop?
  • Is the end goal interesting?

PS — if you're curious, here are some older versions of the game. They're post-apocalyptic on a real map too, but otherwise feel pretty different: ad.chasjhin.com/legacy and ad.chasjhin.com/legacy-v3.

Evacuation window confirmed

The National Guard has reached out, they’re spread thin but hoping to evac your community to Honolulu in approximately 2-3 weeks. They’re asking you to hold out as long as you can so they can prioritize communities in order of need.

Keep people fed, keep scavenging, and prepare the building for the rescue window.

Over housing capacity

This is only a warning for now — nobody is turned away. A future update may make housing a hard cap.
